The official opening ceremony of Şahinbey Empathy Primary School donated to the National Education in the 2017-2018 academic year by the Empathy Social Responsibility and Education Association was attended by Gaziantep Governor Davut Gül and Mrs. Gülden Gül, Sanko University Rector Prof. Dr. Güner Dağlı, Provincial Director of National Education Cengiz Mete, Gaziantep Chamber of Industry Chairman Adnan Ünverdi, Honorary President of Sanko Holding Abdulkadir Konukoğlu and Mrs. Ülgan Konukoğlu, Board Members Hakan and Cengiz Konukoğlu, Şahinbey District Director of National Education Erdal Kılınç, esteemed members of the protocol, our philanthropists who gave their support by buying classrooms at Şahinbey Empathy Primary School, Empathy Social Responsibility and Education Association board of directors and association members, school management, teachers, parents and students.
Gaziantep Governor Davut Gül, in his speech at the ceremony, stated that the stability of NGOs is very important and said, “Empathy Social Responsibility and Education Association built two schools. It is much more valuable and beautiful when it comes from women in the society. Our association shows us that this is not a passing fancy.”
Empathy Social Responsibility and Education Association Chairwoman Hale Konukoğlu emphasized that they are proud of presenting two schools to the National Education which initiated from a dream project of a village school with 9 classrooms 10 years ago. Drawing attention to the fact that everyone should feel qualified and responsible for the education of the new generation, Hale Konukoğlu said, “We were fortunate to open this school whose foundation was laid by the administration of our former chairwoman Zeynep Konukoğlu. I would like to thank our members for not leaving us alone on our journey.”
Following the opening speeches, the philanthropists who made donations by buying classrooms at Şahinbey Empathy Primary School received their plaques of appreciation from the esteemed members of the protocol.
After the ribbon-cutting, the opening ceremony proceeded with a group tour of the school.
