‘Respect To Ata’ Exhibition

Organized jointly by Empathy Social Responsibility Association and Gaziantep Young Businessmen Association, the ‘Respect to Ata’ exhibition, consisting of collections of many art lovers from Gaziantep, opened its doors to visitors on November 10, at 3 pm at Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Art Center.

The ‘Respect to Ata’ exhibition was opened by Gaziantep 5th Armored Brigade Commander Şefik Atak, Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fatma Şahin, Ambassador Adnan Keçeci, Gaziantep Union of Exporters Coordinator President Fikret Kileci, Empathy Social Responsibility and Education Association Chairwoman Hale Konukoğlu, Gaziantep Young Businessmen Association President Bora Tezel, Gaziantep Young Businessmen Association Women’s Branch President Müge Tezel, curator of the exhibition and Vice Chairwoman of Empathy Social Responsibility and Education Association Ceren Uğurluer.

Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fatma Şahin, in her speech at the opening ceremony, said, “We commemorate our Commander-in-Chief and Head Teacher with mercy and gratitude. His greatest work is our Republic.” Quoting the words of our Father “One day my mortal body will turn to dust, but the Turkish Republic will stand forever.” Şahin emphasized the need to embrace and protect our Republic. She thanked Empathy Social Responsibility and Education Association Chairwoman Hale Konukoğlu and Gaziantep Young Businessmen Association President Bora Tezel for presenting such a beautiful and meaningful exhibition to the folks of Gaziantep to commemorate our father.

In her opening speech, Empathy Social Responsibility Association Chairwoman Hale Konukoğlu said, “On this meaningful day, together with the Gaziantep Young Businessmen Association, we welcome our most revered guest. We burst with pride and joy with this exhibition. We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality and everyone for their contribution.”

Gaziantep Young Businessmen Association President Bora Tezel said in his opening speech at the ceremony, “Today is a very meaningful and emotional day for all of us. We commemorate the 80th anniversary of our Father’s passing into eternity with this exhibition. I would like to thank Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fatma Şahin, 5th Armored Brigade Commander Şerif Atak, Ambassador Adnan Keçeci, Gaziantep Union of Exporters Coordinator President Fikret Kileci and everyone who contributed to the preparation of the exhibition.”

At the opening of the ‘Respect to Ata’ exhibition, which attracted huge interest, certificates of appreciation were presented to all collectors who contributed to the exhibition by lending works from their personal collections.

The exhibition will be open on November 10-20, 2018.
